Based in Sheffield



Salary £30,000 - £35,000 Depending on experience.



A major FMCG Company within Sheffield are now looking to appoint a high calibre H&S Manager to drive their health & safety forward. In return you will receive full support from the senior management.



You main responsibilities will be:



· To drive the management of environmental health & safety risks on site. Recycling / packaging reduction. Food contamination.

· To ensure compliance to corporate standards and to comply with statutory requirements. H&S updates monthly

· To drive continuous improvement in respect of; environment, occupational health & safety performance and to co-ordinate loss prevention, disaster/crisis management and security issues. Leader for projects, reinforce H&S also preventative (E.G. Skin disorder) Outbreak of Ecoli, Exploding tanker, Fire claims.

· Track performance against audits, the risk management plan and site key performance indicators.

· Manage risk assessment programme including training and corrective action.

· Communicate H&S training, Inductions including sub contractors.

· Work closely with internal functions to effectively deliver the H&S agenda, particularly line managers and engineering.



You must come from a manufacturing background as a H&S Manager and hold a minimum of a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent. You must be able to effectively communicate at all levels from shop floor up to senior management both oral and written.

You must also be able to demonstrate the ability to understand best business practice.
