Freight Operator / Trainee Account Manager
The Position:
My client is currently looking for a Trainee Freight Account Manager / Operator, based in its Sheffield Office. The position comes with an immediate start and is to initially cover maternity leave.
The Operator role will be to support up to 6 Freight Account Managers in their day to day business. Starting with duties, such as with data input and administration, you continue to learn the Freight Account Manager role, throughout your training period.
After a while, youll be stepping in to cover the Freight Account Managers workload, during their absence, as and when required. Youll be discussing the services of the Company, along with quotations to clients and therefore need to have an excellent telephone manner.
As this is a Trainee role, youll learn all aspects of the Freight Account Manager position, without being targeted, as well as the role of Operator.
Both roles require excellent communication skills, an abundance of positive mental attitude and a strong personality.
After a 9 month training program, youll be moved into the position of Freight Account Manager, with all the benefits associated with the role.
Package:
Operator
Basic: £16-17 per annum.
Freight Account Manager
Basic: £18,500 going up to £24,500 over a 2 year period
(In-line with hitting targets)
Company car becomes available after 6 months and company mobile after 9 months.
(In-line with achieving targets).
Commission is paid monthly and is open ended.
Hours are Mon-Fri: 9am-5.15pm with 1 hour lunch.
22 Days annual holiday.
Company pension scheme.
